Optiven Group is seeking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations and marketing as well as setting strategic goals for the future of Optiven Group in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

S/he will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the company’s vision and culture with the main goal being to ensure the profitability of our company’s activities drive sustainable development and long-term success.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. In charge of Establishing a fully functional Optiven Office in Congo & Ensure sustainable Optiven Group brand presence.
  2. In charge of Recruitment and managing talent i.e Sales and Marketing team within the Congo office.
  3. Will be responsible to grow Optiven Congo sales portfolio.
  4. Will be responsible to build partnerships with like-minded stakeholders for mutual growth and development.
  5. Responsible to achieve the region’s sales Targets allocated on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  6. Formulate Advertising and Marketing strategies and ensure brand visibility of the projects in the market place to increase the sales and attract Customers. Important to ensure participation in Trade fairs for brand building and brand visibility to build sales portfolio.
  7. Responsible in ensuring they work with HR& Talent development team to implement training and development plans for talent manpower to build the preferred Optiven Real Estate Culture across board and mold a performance and result oriented culture.
  8. Responsible for performance Evaluations and work closely with the HR & Talent development Team to manage performance and undertake monthly and quarterly appraisals & seal any gaps.

Job Specifications and Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
  • A Master’s degree in Operations Management, Marketing or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
  • Must have at least 5-10 years’ experience in Business Development, sales and marketing, Account Management, business operations and marketing strategies up to execution.
  • Experience of developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.
  • Experience of working at a senior management level in a commercial / sales orientated environment
  • Experience in Working in the African Market & ability to understand key marketing principles and practice.
  • Must be fluent in French language; both written and oral.
  • Must be ready and willing to relocate to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
