Department: Operations.
Reports to: Associate Director, Operations.
Location: Optiven Group Head Quarters, Nairobi.

We’re looking for Operations Officer to join our team! We’re a dynamic and a vast growing company, and we’re looking for an Operations Officer to help us continue our success. The Operations Officer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, and will be a key player of the operations department.

S/he will be a competent team player able to provide guidance that enhances company operations in a manner which incorporates the company’s vision and culture.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer receipts are sent on time, share bank statements with finance team and follow up to ensure all receipts are done and send to customers.
  • Work hand in hand with accounts team to ensure all unreceipted transactions are followed up and receipted.
  • Assist Marketing team in all challenges arising from customer payments i.e., following up on delayed transactions.
  • Work hand in hand with Accounts team to ensure healthy project portfolios in terms of payments by customers.
  • Ensure all projects funds are deposited in the right accounts as well as ensuring timely payment of all loans.
  • Ensure timely resolution of internal customer concerns.
  • Ensure smooth running of all departments and provide full support when needed at all times.
  • Ensure all sale agreements and Offer Letters prepared, reviewed and approved in good time.
  • Assist on Follow up with the Legal department to ensure all sales are supported by sale agreements.
  • Follow up with Credit department to ensure payments are done on time as per the sale agreements.
  • Handle any queries arising from Sale agreements from time to time
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Required Qualifications.

  • Should have Finance or Accounting degree.
  • CPA-K professional
  • 5 years plus experience in a similar role, prior bank operations experience will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in working with accounting software i.e., QuickBooks
  • Proper understanding of bookkeeping practices and filing systems
  • Knowledge of accountant rules and legislation
  • Ability to detect inconsistencies and report
