As the world shifted it’s focus to the 2025 World Africa Day, Optiven Limited, Kenya’s leading real estate company was celebrating the milestones it has laid on the mother continent. The company which in 2019 was singled out by the London Stock Exchange Group as one of the companies that would inspire Africa, has continued to stamp it’s presence in a number of African countries.

The Optiven Africa Team was in Rwanda where they hosted Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya in 2024.

Martin Waweru – Associate Director Human Resource and Talent Acquisitions represented the company in 2019 in Mauritius at the Ravenala Attitude Hotel where Optiven received an award for it’s HR Practices.

As a follow up to it’s 20th Anniversary rebranding and turn around strategy in 2021, Optiven is keen to see at least 41 countries within it’s portfolio from Africa. Ahead of the celebration to mark the World Africa Day 2025 under the theme Justice for Africans & People of African Descent through Reparations, Dr. George Wachiuri led a number of teams to different African countries.

He says, “Since 2024 the Diaspora Engagement Strategy for Optiven shifted to include Africa where we are targeting to empower at least 41 countries by the year 2041. With the support we have received from the Ambassadors and Optiven representatives in the different countries, we look forward to further reach more and more nations within the African continent in the next five to ten years.

Christine Wakanyi, Head of Global Markets, Customer Experience and Digital Marketing agrees. Speaking on Africa region she adds, “we are happy that so far our portfolio accommodates both Kenyan citizens and citizens of the globe thus the strategic move to have Africa on our radar. Our teams continue to impact from Kenya to Africa and so far we have engaged investors in East, South, North, Central and West Africa.

Optiven as a company has invested in technology and innovation as it seeks to be the go to partner in real estate. With the first AI assistant and a robust ICT team, the company has also opened global offices in the Karen area of the Kenyan capital to attend to it’s clients.

As part of it’s engagement, the company has hosted a number of delegations and representatives from different countries in Africa including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Burundi, Tanzania, South Africa and Nigeria among others.
