Job Purpose

To develop and grow Insurance Business to profitable levels and target achievement. To also provide specialist advice and support for business development of information to inform decision making, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed standards.

Principle Accountabilities

  1. To develop and grow Insurance Business to profitable levels and target achievement
  2. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategy for Insurance
  3. Grow clients’ database and maintain relationships for business growth
  4. Conducting market research to identify new business
  5. Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products
  6. Meeting with potential investors to present company offerings and negotiate business
  7. Collaborating with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business
  8. Providing insight into product development and competitive
  9. Manage and follow up claims on behalf of Optiven Agency with various Insurance Companies
  10. Manage partnerships with Insurance companies
  11. Represent the Insurance docket appropriately in relevant forums and events
  12. Identify and facilitate corporate presentations in the events
  13. Initiate and facilitate the printing of all insurance branding materials
  14. Prepare departmental budget and projections for growth in line with set targets
  15. Manage all Insurance costs
  16. Prepare detailed reports and share with the management for decision making purposes

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field.
  2. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Insurance Industry in a similar role
  3. Excellent Sales and Marketing skills; Aggressive and high level of sales prowess
  4. Professional certification in insurance will be an added advantage
  5. High proficiency in Microsoft Office
  6. Understanding of Insurance compliance issues
  7. Honest with outstanding interpersonal skills
  8. High integrity, maturity and good character
  9. Exceptional negotiation and decision-making
  10. Excellent communication, presentation and report writing, and problem solving skills
  11. Pleasant personality, self-driven and able to work under minimum supervision.
  12. Detail-oriented
  13. Ability to work under pressure
