The diaspora teams this May 2026 were in three continents to empower investors to invest back in Kenya. The teams were in Africa, Australia and the United States of America to also avail updated information on the projects that various investors had bought under the Optiven portfolio. Optiven’s #TeamAfrica led the diaspora outflow in May with the teams travelling to Ghana and Uganda between 20th May 2026 and 29th May 2026. Dr. George Wachiuri, the Optiven Group Chief Executive Officer led the team to Ghana where he had an opportunity to meet with the Kenyan Ambassador to Ghana as well as meet Kenyans living and working in Accra.
Priscilla Isaboke, the Diaspora Relationships Manager in charge of Africa told the Optiven Point that “Africa remains a key market for the Optiven group and we are confident that as we live out our corporate strategy for the year 2030 we continue to get into new countries across the continent. Ghana and Uganda have not only been on radar but we are delighted to have been in these countries before.” The visits coincided with the observation of Africa Day under the African Union – a day that is observed globally on the 25th of May and this year’s theme was “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability & Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063” https://www.optiven.co.ke/newsblogs/why-africa-day-matters-in-continental-real-estate/
