After the launch of the new season at the Optiven headquarters on February 19th, Optiven FC have gone on an impressive 8 game run, winning 6 matches. This has placed the team at the top of the Lang’ata sub-county branch zone A, 3 games away from a play-off that will see them promoted to the county level.
In a recent dominant 8-1 victory over Sakata Soka at the Sakata MOW Grounds in South C, 6 different players scored emphasizing Optiven FC’s strong teamwork. Club captain Gabriel Watare remarked on the importance of the players to work as a unit to achieve the promotion goal.
“Every player has contributed and that is what makes us strong. We are focused on the next 3 games because the promotion is within reach.”
Head Coach, John Olande encouraged the team to remain disciplined and grounded even as they eye to make a historic achievement for the club. Optiven FC is fully focused on the next fixture as they hope to collect the much needed 3 points.
