Kenyans in Rwanda and Burundi Empowered to Invest Back Home

Optiven’s Team Africa kicked off it’s 2025 diaspora engagement in the country of a thousand hills Rwanda. The team was led by the Optiven Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. George Wachiuri and was at hand to host Kenyans in the capital Kigali.

Kenyans in Rwanda have previously been empowered by Optiven and this time the team was in the land of a thousand hills from 22nd January 2025 to 28th January 2025. Apart from meeting up with Kenyans in Rwanda, the Optiven team was also at hand to participate in philanthropy by taking part in an Umuganda monthly cleanup at Lake Nyarutarama in Kigali on Saturday 25th of January 2025.

The team later hosted Kenyans to a title deed dinner at the Great Kiyovu Hotel in Rwanda, with the team hosted by Optiven Special Envoy, Engineer Wanderi.

#TeamAfrica also made inroads in Burundi this January with the team on ground from 26th January 2025 to 28th January 2025. The opportunity meant Kenyans and other nationalities were able to interact with the team in the capital Bujumbura. The tour also availed an opportunity for the CEO, Dr. George Wachiuri to empower students and faculty of two universities.
