A night walk by any standard requires the assurance of security.   The presence of lighting almost always provides a great approach and courage to venture in the night.   It helps even more if the light is available within a gated community.   What this means is that there is a likelihood to pay a visit to a neighbor, engage in a barbecue or stay late with family watching the last embers of a bonfire well after 11 oclock in the night.   That is the status of Amani Ridge | The Place of Peace.   The premier project by Optiven saw the completion of the lighting of the gated community on 18^th October 2021.

Speaking shortly after the completion of the lighting installation at the Kiambu based project, George Wachiuri, Chief Executive at Optiven Group expressed confidence and delight at the development.   He thanked the projects team that had worked day and night to ensure that the value additions are not only on cause but also well done.   Sharing his sentiments at the project, Wachiuri said, “ as the Optiven family we take this opportunity to first of all thank God for the conclusion of the lighting installation.   We made a promise to our customers and now we are happy to report that it is done.”

Optiven’s ultra-modern gated community, Amani Ridge the Place of Peace is now all set to benefit from a brand new 7KM long road that has just been upgraded to bitumen standard by the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA).

This new road, which is located in Kiambu County starts at junction of Kamiti Corner (Ruturu) through Kamiti Anmer and terminates at Farran, is set to make access and transportation Amani Ridge and all adjacent areas both easy and enjoyable.

“Road infrastructure is the essential network upon which almost all other infrastructural advancement depend. The 51st celebration of Global Earth Day 2021, saw OPTIVEN plug in in a big green way. With great partnership from stakeholders, green enthusiasts, philanthropists and staff, the global day was marked with an array of greening activities at AMANI RIDGE | The Place of Peace in Kiambu county.

The celebration of Earth Day coincided with the wrap up of a 10-day challenge dubbed #optivenearthchallenge that kicked off soon after the World Forests Day. And as Optiven joined the rest of the world in celebration of Earth Day, it was a rallying call for engagement under it’s Gogreennaoptiven initiative.

Chairman of the Optiven Group Foundation, Mr George Wachiuri was leading the exercise and noted that action is needed now, by all, and in every way, in order to save the planet. Wachiuri led the way by showcasing the different interventions adapted by Optiven Group in ensuring that the world is better.

He was joined on the ground by the Optiven Director for Projects, Mr Charles Miraguri, Optiven Senior Sales Manager for Europe Mr Peter Gitonga, Optiven Senior Sales Manager for the Anerucas George Muteti and Project Engineers in charge of the different project portfolios under Optiven Group.

Wachiuri said, “we are happy as the Optiven Group family to be spearheading the Earth Day 2021 celebration in Kenya and wish to thank Matt Lefler, the Earth Day Africa Manager on behalf of the global Earth Day in Washington DC. It’s now very official. Amani Ridge the Place of Peace is headed towards its very final home stretch. And while this is happening, here are some 6 important developments that are happening in this high-end gated community in Kiambu:

1. Internal Road Network
The internal road network within the project has been done to murram standards ready for cabro fitting once 70% of the customers have built their homes.

2. Internal Drainage and Roads Shape Up
This is currently starting with the fixing of road kerbs.

3. Estate Regulations
Amani Ridge regulations; including building guidelines and community regulations are now in force and customers will have 2 years to finalize on their payments and transfer their properties to individual names for those paying on instalments and 3 years to ensure their homes are fully built. If one does not build, service charge will still apply. This service charge which will applly to all will be determined by the management company and will be going towards maintenance of the project in terms of security and keeping the environment clean.

Optiven will continue maintaining the project in good order until handover to management association is done.

4. Water Piping along the Mains
The next big thing is the water piping along the internal roads. Upon a customer request for connection, Optiven water will facilitate at an affordable fee.

5. Electricity Connection
We are ready to have this done and discussions are ongoing with Kenya Power.

6. Solar Street Lights
We have already contracted for this and it’s set to roll out very soon.
